There is no better way to celebrate the Halloween season than by watching a ton of spooky movies. Of course, not all of our favorite Halloween movies are gruesome horror flicks. Plan a night to watch all your favorite movies with your friends to really get into the spooky spirit!

Even though the film came out all the way back in 1966, we can still appreciate the plot and lessons it teaches us today. Everyone loves and remembers the story of Linus and the Great Pumpkin, so this makes this movie and immediate first choice.
And if someone in your group is living under a rock and still hasn’t seen this iconic holiday movie, this all the more reason to show it to them! You’ll certainly get a wave of nostalgia when watching the film, and since it’s a bit of an easy watch, you could bake some Halloween treats during the movie, too!
The Nightmare Before Christmas
You get the best of both worlds with this movie: Halloween and Christmas! And for those of you who enjoy a musical movie, this selection is perfect. It is also slightly scarier than the last selection, so if you want something a little more thrilling but still good for those who don’t like horror films, this a great selection.
This movie is one of Tim Burton’s most iconic films, so most everyone in your watching group has likely seen it. This will make it easy for everyone to bond and sing along to classic hits like “This is Halloween” and “Kidnap the Sandy Claws.” In addition to the music, this film is very visually appealing, utilizing claymation technology that is captivating to watch.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
This one is for all of you that love horror movies, and there is no horror movie that is more classic than this one. For those of you living in Texas, watching this movie will be even scarier. Everyone is familiar with Leatherface, and seeing him on screen is enough to send even the bravest of individuals into a tizzy.
To make it even scarier and to really get into the Halloween mood, make sure to watch the film in the dark with all the lights off and the curtains pulled. You may regret your choice during the movie, but after you’ll feel like the Halloween season has truly arrived.
